National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, April 26th The Sharon Township Police Department will again take part in the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative on Saturday, April 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Sharon Township Police Department, 95 E. Wilson Bridge Road, Worthington, Ohio 43085.


We will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The prescriptions can be in clear plastic bags or in their original pill containers as SWACO is partnering with us to recycle them and support this event. We cannot collect liquids, needles, patches, or inhalers.


How Proper Disposal of Medicines Protects You and the Earth: Prevents poisoning of children and pets; Deters misuse by teenagers and adults; Avoids health problems from accidentally taking the wrong medicine, too much of the same medicine, or a medicine that is too old to work well; Keeps medicines from entering streams and rivers when poured down the drain or flushed down the toilet.
