National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day - Oct. 26th

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is Saturday, October 26th

The Sharon Township Police Department will again take part in the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Initiative on Saturday, October 26th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Sharon Township Police Department, 95 E. Wilson Bridge Road, Worthington, Ohio 43085.

We will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.   We cannot collect liquids, needles, patches, or inhalers.  It is preferred that you empty all of your pills from its container into a clear plastic bag. It is recommended that you keep the containers and dispose of them yourself to protect your identity.

How Proper Disposal of Medicines Protects You and the Earth:

Prevents poisoning of children and pets; Deters misuse by teenagers and adults; Avoids health problems from accidentally taking the wrong medicine, too much of the same medicine, or a medicine that is too old to work well; Keeps medicines from entering streams and rivers when poured down the drain or flushed down the toilet.
